Most frequent procedures we do:
Stents and angioplasties - In an angioplasty, the carotid arteries (located in
the neck) are accessed by inserting a catheter in the groin to take it to the affected area, where
the artery is expanded by inflating and deflating a balloon in order to compress the plaque to the
sides. Subsequently, a stent is placed to maintain support in the artery that has just been
opened.
Surgery can be used to repair the blood vessels that cause hemorrhagic cerebrovascular disease.
One of the following procedures is used depending on the cause that originated the
bleeding.
TAVI - Transcatheter aortic valve implantation, or TAVI: The high-tech solution
to solve the problem of aortic stenosis caused by damage to the aortic valve. It is a mechanism
that replaces the heart valve through the peripheral arteries.
It is a minimally invasive procedure that can meet the need for open heart surgery and its risks.
Echocardiograms we offer:
• Transthoracic echocardiogram: High resolution ultrasound study that allows us
to take different sections of the cardiac structures and their movements. It provides qualitative
and quantitative measurements of the area dimensions, volume and functioning of the heart.
• Transesophageal echocardiogram: Two-dimensional and three-dimensional
ultrasound study, generally, complementary to the transthoracic echocardiogram, which provides
similar but more detailed information on certain structures, such as heart valves. In addition, it
helps to rule out the presence of thrombi (clots), tumors or congenital abnormalities of the heart
that cannot be fully seen with a transthoracic echocardiogram. For these studies that require
sedation of the patient, we have the participation of a team of cardiovascular
anesthesiologists.
• Stress echocardiogram: Echocardiographic test that is performed during physical
effort (cycle ergometer), or with medications, to obtain images with frequency or maximum work of
the heart, being able to evaluate patients with known or suspected coronary disease.
• Pediatric echocardiograms. We also offer cardiac ultrasound studies in children
and newborns, performed by pediatric echocardiography experts, being able to diagnose complex
congenital heart defects.
• Coronary Angioplasty. It is a procedure used to unblock the artery. It consists of inserting a small deflated balloon into the artery responsible for the infarction and taking it to the site of the blockage. There, the Doctors inflate and deflate it, causing the plaque that prevents the passage of blood to open the necessary space for it to circulate again.
This procedure is performed by an Interventional Cardiologist.
• Cardiac catheterization.
• Stents.
• Atherectomy.
• peripheral angioplasty.
• Miter Clip.
• Pacemaker.
• defibrillators.
• Resynchronizers.
• Clinical electrophysiology studies and services.
• Electrophysiological studies for detection and treatment of arrhythmias.
• Pacemaker implants.
• implantable defibrillators.
